SUNSET IN MY MIND In April of 2015, Linda and I moved from New Jersey to Missouri. As we drove across the country, we saw many beautiful sunsets and took many pictures. After getting settled in and the studio set up, I decided to do a "Sunset Series", being that sunset is my favorite part of the day. After several sunset paintings were completed, I sat there to observe the work and to contemplate it as a viewer. At this point I knew I had at least one more in me and this is where the concept for “Sunset in My Mind” came from. What would be the perfect sunset for me? So as I imagined it, it was tropical and filled with color, all coming from the canvas in my head.
